After working at a company for four years, and after my supervisor left who was a buffer between the forces that wanted to eliminate our department, I made a mistake that got me fired. Went to another company where I did not look in a folder that I thought had no corrections but it did and after only one month was back to square one. Now, of course, I've learned from those mistakes but the fact that I didn't sooner drives me crazy. Similar stories anyone?Learn from your mistakes. Good advice, but sometimes it takes longer than anticipated. How long for you?
Learning from mistakes is dependent upon your consciousness during the event and your thinking before it. Everything in life happens because of your thoughts and the emotion you put into those thoughts.
Ask yourself how long did it take you to recognize the mistake the second time? Was it faster than the first time? If so, you are making progress and thats a great thing.
Your mistakes are lessons that will catapult you to success, the most successful people in the world are not the ones that dont' make mistakes but the ones that make the most mistakes and get cracking at fixing them fastest.
Download a chapter from my book that will help you realize how making mistakes and having gratitude for them will turn them into your greatest asset. http://nolanberentis.com/gratitude/
