I am going to be applying for jobs tommorow and I need advice,
What is a good thing to wear? What is good to say/not say?
How can I not be no nervous or seem desperate for a job?
What is the one thing employers look for in a hiring candidate?
Thank you for your answers e4gCan you give me some good advice?
Dress with class a suite would be good, just allow the employers to ask the questions and just give honest answers be slow to speak quick to listen, ask the Lord for holy Ghost boldness,so you will not be nervous, and the one thing employers look for is integrity, and a person that can get the job done quickly and effeciently, ask the Lord everyday when you go to work for a business mentality,to do things short simplistic and in order,to give you the spiritual wisdom and insight to into all situtations and to do the Job the like he would do it ,do everything as unto the Lord and you cannot fail, God Bless you and you have the job already.LisaCan you give me some good advice?
';Problem solving'; is the number one thing people look for. In one of my college classes one of the instructors said sometimes employers will give you a chair with one leg slightly off just to see what you will do. I've never had it happen to me but I think it would be funny. Also where something nice and professional, like a pants suit. Anything else depends on the job you are looking for.
Okay,
take a deep breathe in and out.
Don't sweat it.
If you freak out,
it is obvious that you are,
and it messes up the whole thing.
Act like you are the best,
but DONT overdo it.
Be nice,
dont be a prude.
Wear something nice,
something to impress.
Act like a kiss up.
Thats what they want.
Act smart,
do some research,
make sure you know EVERYTHING about the job,
so they dont catch u off guard.
the most important thing is dont act nervous.
You should be fine =]
Listen to ';Rabbit';.
wear a comfy biz casual blouse, slacks and comfy black biz casual shoes. just say,';can i speak with you rhiring manager please?'; or just fill out the app. be confident and secure
I guess it all depends what kind of jobs you are seeking but basically,
Dress professionally. A suit if you have one - or a nice shirt and top.
What to say...I would show confidence but not arrogance in my answers. I would not bring up issues you have that would keep you from doing the job. I would not ask about salary - that comes with the offer.
I would research the company - so when they ask if you have any questions - you have an intelligent one to throw out to them.
Practice is the best way to overcome fears. The more intervies you do - the easier they become. Try to look at it as a game and not place as much importance on getting that specific job.
I could go on all night - but I think you get the idea.
Good luck!
Well, I don't know too much about the job-applying. But my advice for getting over the nerves is pretty simple. Just take some deep breaths and clear your mind. Deep breathing is simple, but it really does clear your mind. Just be calm throughout the entire situation.
You don't say what they job is or where you are. Different jobs and different parts of the country have different standards. My answer will have to be vague as I don't know specifics. Is this your first job?
Wear:
Wear something businesslike and that would be just a little nicer than you would wear everyday on the job. Don't wear perfume (many people are allergic to it, including me, and many people who aren't allergic to it don't like to smell it at work.) Just be tasteful and professional in your appearance. It is not the time to be super trendy or creative.
Say:
Be truthful, no lies or stretching the truth, this will catch up to you. But you can put a positive spin on things. For example, if you supervised 45 girl scouts on a camping trip, that would show leadership and responsibility. Think ahead of time of what they might ask and what your answer is, but don't try to memorize answers. This is just for practice.
Have answers ready for some of the most common questions such as:
1 Why do you want to work here?
2 What qualifications do you have for the job?
3 What is your biggest strength?
4 What is your biggest weakness? (this one is important to think about ahead of time so that your biggest weakness is something that you can frame to be an asset.)
One thing that has always helped me to relax is to think of the interview / application process as practice. No one is ever perfect the first time out and it takes practice to interview well. So think of this as practice and just do your best. You will find a job.
Employers look for a person who can do the job that is in the job description in a cheerful and trustworthy manner. They are looking for a person who wants to work and work in a professional manner no matter what the position.
Good luck!
