Right, i am going too get my ear pierced and get a stretcher. Could you give me some advice?

Right so, i'm getting my ear pierced and it says wait 6 weeks until it's healed before you take the earring out. But i wanna stretch it. Just too 1.6mm at first. Do i have to wait the whole 6 weeks before doing this or could i do it like a week after? And why can't you keep a Taper in all the time? No you have to wait about six months before stretching. Ear piercings take about three months to heal completely, so the general rule of thumb for stretching piercings is to wait at least twice the amount it takes for it to heal.





And tapers just aren't meant to be worn as jewelry. Ideally, you buy just one to help stretch. You put some sort of lubricant on it and the piercing, slide the taper through, and then immediately follow through with a plug or some sort of other jewelry. If you actually wear tapers, they will get snagged and caught on things [which can cause unneeded trauma on the piercings] and they put uneven pressure/weight on the piercings [which can result in awkwardly shaped holes]. Also, the tapers people usually wear are made out of acrylic. Acrylic is not good to wear in fresh stretches since it's porous, so harbors bacteria. It can also fuse to the insides of the piercings. Places like Hot Topic and Spencers sell tapers in pairs simply because they know people will buy them. They don't care that they could cause issues.

Call me crazy, but I got my ears pierced with a 10g needle and started stretching them 4 days later. Without skipping sizes I went from a 10g to a 2g in about a month. I'm gonna wait a few months before stretching to zero. As for the taper if your gonna leave it in make sure its surgical steel.


I think tapers are alright to keep in at smaller sizes, cause they're not to heavy and won't cause the hole to be lopsided.
well i will give you some advice... your stupid...idotic... and hahahaha jkjk!!!! well let me tell ya somtin.. i wnted the same thng but i couldnt get =it.. instead of streachin ur ear and makin ur self luk like somtin you arent.. try fake gauges... theres my advice...
