Don't lose weight too fast or else you'll gain it back just as fast-- especially if you get pregnant and have crazy hormones and cravings.
I've tried diets and exercise programs, but the things that worked best for me are drinking PLENTY of water and just being smart about the way I eat. I have a major sweet tooth, so I monitor how much I eat instead of completely cutting out sweets. I also use olive oil instead of vegetable oil and make sure I get plenty of fiber and protein in my meals. Also, avoid saturated and trans fats at all costs.
It's simple:
If you want a handful of salted peanuts, try dry roasted almonds instead.
If you want pizza, try making it ';homemade'; instead of at a greasy restaraunt.
Eat oatmeal for breakfast.
Drink lots of water when you're thirsty instead of sugary juices and sodas (even diet).
Use fresh veggies instead of canned because there will be a lot less sodium.
Just love your body and do this to be healthy and happy-- not to be skinny. Believe me, when you get pregnant, you'll gain a lot of weight. But it's ok. =)
good luck with everything!

I am doing the Insulin Resistance diet, it's similar to a diabetic diet. It focuses on balancing carbs with protien, and I find it very easy to do- the only thing you have to worry about is balancing your meals, and stopping when you are full. Weight Watchers never worked for me- even when I followed it to the letter, I only lost about a pound a week, which was just too frustrating.
Good luck.
Hi, just replying to the Tony Ferguson thing, you can lose weight really quick, but not sure how good it is while you are TTC.
It costs about $50 a week for the shakes.
Weight watchers I think are better and they also offer a program for breast feeding mums so are good for right after birth too.
Good luck with what you decide and remember excercise is the key, and will also keep you in a great mood!!!
speacial K! diet works for me...
bowl of cereal for breakfast, bowl for lunch, and whatever you want for dinner, and two speacial k snacks during the day, lost 8lbs in two weeks, inexspensive, no calorie counting, real results,
also run two nights a wk for an hour
Hey my father lost 110 pds in 9 months doing weight watchers my dad strongly recommends it and he says going to the meetings is very important he says its a very motivational program good luck i wish you the best
I lost 60lbs in about 6-7 months when I joined LA weight loss. You don't buy their food either, they teach you how to live a new healthy lifestyle.
Tony Ferguson weightloss diet worked for me!! its ran through Terry White Chemists!! I lost alot of weight on that before my baby, round 20 kgs and got to my goal weight within 4months. I also maintained it up until i got preggas (which was one year)
I am 9 weeks pregnant, and had my first OB visit yesterday. My doctor suggested I follow a diabetic diet even though I am not diabetic. Perhaps that is one direction you can look in.
