Switch to Linux. Live CDroms run in the CD, boot in a RAMdisc.

The single most solid peice of advice is don't just click ';Yes'; to install or run something without reading what it says. Don't download and run programs from people or places that you don't know, don't trust or cannot validate as reputable. You don't know what effect it will have on the system. Most of the time you'll be okay, but all it takes is one time and you're suddenly in trouble viruses, trojans, spyware, malware or other nasty stuff.How would you give advice to other users concerning common Windows errors?
windows errors? basic troubleshooting, reboot machine, if it does not work call microsoft 1-800-936-5700 (24 hours x 7 days)

**** happens man.
When your car stops or doesnt start do you immedialy call the AA or do you simply turn the key and try again? Too many people have a computer crash and the first thing they do is call tech support and get all angry.
