Do you think that people in the campaigns are actually paying attention to the ';advice'; of big name op-eds?

Thomas Friedman's op-ed in today's NY Times criticizes how Obama has been handling his foreign policy on the campaign trail, and gives him some useful suggestions.

Do you think that Friedman is writing mainly for readers of the NY Times, or do you think he actually might have some sway with the Obama campaign itself?

By that, I mean: do you think Obama, or people high up in his campaign, are reading Friedman's (and other's) op-eds, and when they see useful advice, do they consider actually acting on it?Do you think that people in the campaigns are actually paying attention to the ';advice'; of big name op-eds?
Most of the OP/EDs and pundits seem to clearly be on the side of Hillary. It seems she is given the ';benefit of the doubt'; at ever opportunity, and yet Barack needs ';to explain'; himself or apologize for third party actions over and over again.

Double standard indeed.
