If you charge money to give advice can you be sued for giving bad advice?

It depends on the type of advice and the state. For fiduciary matters, there are standards and if you mess up you are at fault. For others, if there are standards, they must be met.If you charge money to give advice can you be sued for giving bad advice?
Nope! Advice is just that. It has no value beyond what the listener places on it and even though you might be paying you are not required to take said advice. The only exception would be if you could prove gross negligence or malicious intent, but even then the caveat of you do not have to accept advice applies. If you charge money to give advice can you be sued for giving bad advice?
the customer paid money for your advice / opinion, and if your advice or opinion did not go as you thought it would the customer has no recourse from you unless you have them sign something in writing that if your wrong they get thier money back... but I don't think you would do that
If you charge I hope you have a license to back it up otherwise you might get slapped with a lawsuit.
Since you offer no details, I would have to say possibly.
