Where do you turn to for advice?

Family?Friends?The internet?Where do you turn to for advice?
Usually I turn within for the answers and trust my inner guidance or intuition. Believe it or not, sometimes answers come to me in dreams or in seemingly random conversations with people who don't even know that the topic is something I've been praying about or thinking about. Sometimes the answer comes to me at a poetry reading, while watching a movie, or while listening to a song. This is known as synchronicity. I have to be open to it and patient. It can't be forced.





I also use the internet to google topics I need to understand, or to see how other people handle the problem at hand. I use Y!A less and less these days because often the advice comes with so much judgment and negativity, the bad vibes taint the answer, imo, making me regret even asking.





Yesterday was one of those rare Y!A moments where I was able to sift through the negativity to get some really wonderful answers about finding a church home or community of faith. I felt guided from within to ask our Y!A community, and because the subject was about going back to church, sadly I already knew I would get a fair amount of judgmental attitudes/answers, i.e. from the very same types of church people who make some of us not want to go to church. Where do you turn to for advice?
Family and friends. Never turn to the internet for personal advice, people have their own opinions over the internet (obviously) but they don't know you in real life, nor will they ever, so don't listen to any of us. Stick with your family and friends.
A person I trust, has had experience with the situation, and is wise. A good friend, a close family member, and sometimes the internet is what I use.

The internet is fine for general interest questions, but I don't utilize it for anything important in my personal life. No offense to anyone here.
Perhaps I am lucky, I have my family, great friends, and on some occasions found the information I need on internet. Really thankful for all I get.
