What's the best advice that you can give to a Foreigner looking to live and work in the U.S.?

That, should you decide to come that you should,

1) Be white

2) Be rich

3) Be squeaky clean.

4) Have a degree

5) Have a desire to keep a low profile or some people belonging to a certain group will target you as an Illegal Alien. What's the best advice that you can give to a Foreigner looking to live and work in the U.S.?
I work at a small company, 12 people. Three of them are Chinese immigrants, but one has recently gained US citizenship. The other two are working toward it.

Find employment, do the paperwork come here and be welcome. Even if you do not want to become a citizen if you are willing to live as an American, respect our laws you will find this a good place to live. What's the best advice that you can give to a Foreigner looking to live and work in the U.S.?
Come to America and assimilate. America is a welcoming place for immigrants who work hard, are productive, and ASSIMILATE. You can keep your existing cultural norms, etc., but become an AMERICAN. Americans chafe at stuff like people coming here from Mexico and treating the U.S. as nothing more than a conduit through which to ship money back to Mexico.

I've assumed you want to be a citizen. If I'm wrong, ignore my answer
Get married with an american citizen is the easiest, fastest way to get your working permit and residency. Becareful with a fake marriage, they will deport you if they find out money on the table. after a couple years or a baby you will be ok if your husband wasn't what you expect.
Do it legally, and have skills that enhance and compliment the country. Assimilate to the people and the culture of Americans. Learning English will get you much farther than refusing to. It's a bigger plus if you happen to know, understand, and speak English before you come.
Give up on the idea unless you are a highly skilled person with an advanced degree in the sciences or engineering. Or unless you can find a US citizen to marry.

The other legal ways to come to the USA are essentially closed at this time.
I would tell them to find an area where some of their nationals have already taken root.
there are NO jobs in USA

they have all be sent to mexico, india and china.

try going to those places instead.
Lucky hit the nail on the head.
Do it legally.
dont let anyone take advantage of you or treat you different b/c of your race, just remember everyone here is a foreigner, and anythiing is possible you just have to work hard for it, and get an education..
