im having a hard time coming off I was wandering what kind of symptoms you had when you withdrawled and how long did they last? what routinue did you have to come off zoloft.If you have came off zoloft I need your advice and experience?

I take paxil which is an SSRI like Zoloft so I imagine you are probably talking about the withdrawal symptoms that the docs don't tell you about when they put you on these meds. I have been on paxil for 12 years (since my son was born) have tried to go off a couple of times, haven't made it. Too many horrible withdrawal symptoms. As soon as I get down to 20 mg. I get to the point where I can't get out of bed because I can't quit crying and end up shaking. And I usually end up at urgent care and right back on it again. So I have come to the conclusion that I will be on this medicine forever, it is serving a purpose. Hope this helps some. Some people are able to come off SSRI's. But I don't think they have been on them as long as me. GOOD LUCK !!
I've come off of Zoloft and Effexor and I learned something very very valuable that I wish my doctor had known about. If you're having any of the weird twitchy or electric shock withdrawal symptoms Benadryl will mellow them out a lot, and if you take some simple Prozac for about a week when you stop taking Zoloft you will have very minor withdrawal symptoms. This is because the half-life of Prozac is much much longer than that of other SSRIs, so it naturally weans your body off them slowly. Ask your doctor for a seven day prescription of Prozac ASAP and tell him why.
I took Zoloft for a short period of time and had a lot of trouble sleeping when I was on it. I had no withdrawal symptoms going off of it, but I was on it for a very short period of time and only took 25mg of it. Unfortunately, I know that many antidepressants can have withdrawal effects.
